Ballack is Back

Derby County were clearly jubilant when they were able to welcome midfield maestro Ballack back to Pride Park. The great man is starting his second
spell at the club, and is determined to make a difference as Derby attempt to regain their premiership crown. And his arrival could not have come too soon, following Derby's disappointing defeat to Cardiff in the Interwing Cup last weekend. Just his presence will be enough to lift the Pride Park
faithful even though, due to the transfer penalty, he will have to watch this weekend's match from the stands. Interestingly enough, the match is against his former club Arsenal, and so there may be mixed emotions as he watches his former teammates take on his new ones. However, in his search to add a premiership medal to his collection of awards, there is no doubt
who he will be cheering on.

Press release:

The York City manager today refuted claims that one of his sisters had been off "liasing" with Gera. "It was not one of my sisters" said the York City manager. "It was my mother. The Southampton manager knew that and yet he started to make my sisters sound as if they'd go off with someone from the South Coast. They wouldn't."

When commiting on his own teams form the York manager said it was, "satisfactory" but claimed that his side were still only looking at survival. "We've only played the utter shite in this league" said the York manager. "Portsmouth, Cardiff and especially Bradford will be very difficult opponents. Bradford have made a slow start but will surely be charging up the league and into the promotion places really soon."

All speculation that the York manager was planning to resign from his team was brushed aside as, "total bollocks".

Match Report.

Dundee United gained the first points of the season in a magnificent 4-4 draw with West Ham. United took the lead early doors but the decision to put on J_Clark as a 41st minute subbie turned the game, with West Ham pulling it back. Even with united winning, West Ham managed to scrape a draw with the last kick of the ball being converted. In this, another dissapointing game, D_Pezzarossi managed to injure himself to give Grant selection headaches for upcoming games. Grant has now taken a vow of silence and has ensured that his players have done the same until they start to win again.

Gay jibes - back stabber

Following recent comments about the sexuality, outspoken dundee united manager made MORE jibes at pbemff officials, this time, focussing on Euro wing boss, Richard Kellett.

Following the bore draw in the IWC where Everton scored a late equaliser, Grant blasted Kelletts dirty tactics which left 3 terrors on shit creek. Injuries from the match total 12 weeks and it makes a grand total of 7 injuries to have been given to united players in 5 games. These injuries include the loss of goalkeeper, P_Gallacher and the strikeforce of Ralph and Pezzrossi being out for a combined total of 7 weeks. Grant branded the everton team as 'shit stabbing hatchet men' and the manager a disgrace for the way he sent his troops out.

After his last outburst, Grant promised not to do any more interviews, however he let most of the ground know exactly how he felt with his foul outbursts.

It is unclear with the FA will take any action against grant at this time.

LARS THE RED

Aberdeen today completed a massive transfer coup by landing veteran German Lars Ricken. The creative midfielder joins the dons this week from bradford
city in a deal worth 17.5 million . Ricken joins up with his new teamates but will not make his debut in the iwc tie with sunderlnd due to a suspension, the german will be in the squad to face norwich in the league
and is expected to make his debut with barness out injured.Barness injured in the 1-0 win over man city at the weekend will miss out on the make or break iwc tie with sunderland but aberdeen go into the match in
confident mood after picking up 10 points from 4 games in the competition. STU WATSON: as every game, the match with sunderland will be an extremely
tough match. they have done very well in the group so far and pose a huge threat.

Looking up at Pride Park

In recent weeks, things have taken a turn for the better for the Pride Park faithful, as Derby County turned an indifferent start to the season into a season of promise. County are unbeaten in the month of May so far in all competitions - a feat unequalled by any other Premiership side - and they have won their last four matches. This achievement is also unequalled amongst their Premiership rivals, and has only been beaten in the Brit Wing by Aberdeen, who start the season with five consecutive wins. Derby's wins
came in the IWC against Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Rangers, and in the league against West Ham. That series of results propelled Derby into first
place in the Prem, ahead of rivals Arsenal and Boro on goal difference, and they also moved up to third in the IWC group 4 - the group of Death. Derby
will be hoping to maintain this form tomorrow at high flying Everton in their match at Goodison Park. Here's hoping that the Pride Park faithful can carry on their celebrations.

Dundee united officials refused to spread any light on recent rumours that the tannadice side were looking to do one of the biggest deals ever seen in pbemff history.

An official said ‘It is not our policy to comment on speculation and rumours. Business dealings are between our manager chairman and those of any clubs that we feel the need to deal with and nothing will be confirmed or denied until the I’s are dotted and the t’s crossed.

The club representative DID confirm that although they are valuable squad players, P_Gallacher and S_ODonnell WERE being allowed to leave the club, should the right deal come along. It is understood that managers have already been in contact about the lads but no decision on the players futures will be made.

Stars at tannadice for signing talks

It has been revealed that several high profile european stars have been at tannadice for signing talks.

Rumours have been circulating that the cream of talent from the continent is on united manager, Andy Grants shopping list and the board at tannadice are happy to let the manager take his pick. To help this, the generous board have allowed Grant to spend over 50m to re-build his striken team.

Also rumoured to be on his way to tannadice is an italian legend who is currently plying his trade in england.

More news will follow but the gaffer was staying tight-lipped...he said 'I have never and will never divuldge information on proposed signings'

Controversy at Pride Park

Derby County's FA Cup tie against non-league Linfield was controversially delayed by several hours due to snow. The whole place was completely whited
out, and not even the match commentary could be read. Fortunately, the Manager, Graham Frith, had the foresight to suggest to the linesman that he plug in the undersoil heating, which saved the situation. Within a few hours, the snow had all melted and the match took place without further ado. The match itself turned into something of a bruising occasion, with three players being shown red cards, including Zanetti and Matteo of Derby. However, in the end, the gulf in class showed, and Derby ran out 4-0 victors. Goals from Patrick Kluivert (his 4th of the season) and Gall,
along with a brace from veteran striker DiCanio, were enough to see off the challengers. Derby will be looking to draw another home tie in the next
round, and they were especially glad to see rivals Middlesboro crash out of the competition. However, the cup holders live to fight another day.

Southampton claimed their 4th successive draw of the season after snatching a late equaliser against Manchester United. Star striker Z_Gera explained "I didn't know where I was meant to be playing the whole game. The manager sent me out to start off as a striker but as soon as he saw Man Utd's line up, he changed his mind and told me to play in midfield. I wanted to go for victory and kept trying to go forward, and the assistant manager Tits McGee wanted me to stay up there, but Jimbo kept on telling me to back into midfield. Once they took the lead I thought that was it and just sat back to try and set up chances for Griffo, and thankfully, he took his chance and tucked it away. We don't like losing and thankfully we still haven't lost one this season.

Next up is a is a tough game in the Inter Wing Cup against Bayer Leverkusen and we are both looking for our first wins of the season. Hopefully, wednesday is our time. We need to start scoring more to stand any chance of winning games. To do that, the club needs to find a star striker from somewhere." With that, Gera left to go on the clubs traditional after match piss up in the players lounge, he took the young apparently attractive female reporter asking him questions along with him. However, rumours are now circulating that it was one of the York City managers sisters.

Gay Jibes Hit Commishes Rim

After Dundee united manager angrily burst out at league chiefs for 'blatantly aiming to drive his team into the ground' , Grant blasted those in charge of the game 'gay and bent'. Kellett responded by saying that anything which he does in his spare time is his own private bedroom is only the business of he and Elton John. He later distanced himself from rumours that the 2 guys were cheating on their partners with each other and Kellett bitch slapped our reporter.

After this event was caught on video, reporters from 'gay times' were practically camped in Kelletts dirt track waiting for advice on the technique. The reporter, Shir T'lifter did provide his own lube but on this occasion Kellett turned down his advances as it 'wasn't the right time'

Leslie Unhappy with Unattractive Score

After a 3-3 draw in the Interwing Cup with Bayer Leverkusen, Southampton Manager Jim Leslie branded his team as "total bollox" and said they "required shooting practice". With 40 shots in the game and only managing half on target, the manager was always going to be left frustrated. With their next game being against Arsenal, all hopes of a first win of the season have been thrown out the window. "Arsenal are looking to challenge at the top of the table. This is a game they should look to win. Our squad is probably the poorest in the division and we are only looking to survive. For the first time this season, our defence has also let us down. If we play like this in the Premiership, there is no doubt we will be relegated." Leslie then stormed off to find solace in the arms of a woman. Rumours are spreading it was the same woman that player Z_Gera took to a party on Sunday, however, her identity is yet to be confirmed.

First win....

for dundee united spoilt, once again, by opposition players and officials.

In a long spate of 'incidents' this season, Andy Grant once again saw his side hit hard by others. For the 3rd week in a row, star defender picked up a yellow card, earning him a 1 week suspension. Along with that, Onouha was sent packing by the harsh referee and C_Easton injured by an opposition player. The latest in a long line of problems comes just 1 week after another string of poor decisions. For the coming week, Dundee United will be without no less than 6 first team players(54.55% of the first team squad). During the match, the players were not allowed to settle against a strong birmingham side. Even though the arabs controlled the match, they found it difficult to string 2 passes together, with only R_Fowler to thank for some clinical finishing. Grant said 'Well done to the lads at Birmingham who really made a good game of it and were unlucky to come away with nothing'
He continued, 'Sometimes you need this kind of luck in football and we hope that this will see a turnaround in our fortunes. Too many times this season, we have been beaten by bad luck and it surely can't last forever.'

ARSENAL BATTLE TO GAIN ALL 3 POINTS

Arsenal where forced to battle to gain all three points at st marys this weekend. Southampton came out and played very defensively with a very defensive formation and never looked to trouble arsenal and their 3 man defence. arsenal came out with a flowing passing minded style of play but where getting blocked out by the 5 man defence of the saints. The gunners did breach the defence early on though and took a 1-0 lead through new signing veteran striker Kovacevic who was looking to impress in his final season. arsenal then would want to further their lead but it was proving tough and shots on goal where proving hard to come by and Southampton where rarely troubling the arsenal back 3. the game was run out and 3 point where gained which put arsenal joint top with boro and derby but have a inferer goal difference so sit in 3rd place.
next up for the gunners is a iwc trip to play club brugue in what could be a vital match for both teams. both managers have had there differences personally in the past few months and neither will want to drop ne points or there pride in this encounter. Arsenal still have a fully fit side and look dangerous going forward as do the very impressive brugue so it looks to be a very exiting match for the neutrals.

United boss hails win number 1

It has taken its time but dundee united have finally won their first league game....in 5 attempts. A goal from pezzarossi and one from onouha were enough to seal victory for the tannadice men, amid rumours of players being moved on. Although the terrors had got their IWC acts together, the league was still a bit of a nightmare for the tannadice club.

This result sees the tannadice men leapfrog 3 clubs into 5th position. A breathing down Evertons neck. The tannadice side still have to play newly promoted southampton and league toppers middlesborough before the half way point and it is thought that the players are revealed to get this monkey of their backs.

Poor result causes united slip-up

Dundee united yet again slipped up with an inability to score as they drew 1-1 with a very defensive man city side. Even though the terrors managed to hold more than 60% of possession and have 9 shots on goal, they could not find a way past the city goalkeeper. This leaves the group extremely tight with any 1 of 4 teams having a shot at going on to the knock-out stages of PBEMFFS premier cup competition.

The match was also marred by a challenge which has put tannadice defender, N_Onuoha out for 4 weeks. This comes as ANOTHER set-back from a string of upsets which has seen 9 tannadice players injured this season as well as 2 suspensions.

Despite this, the tannadice faithful still have some faith in the manager who can still qualify for the knock out stages.
